What's On > Autumn/Winter 2008/09 Season > Aladdin by Phil Meeks It's as tough growing up in China as anywhere else. Aladdin is sick of being penniless, especially since he's decided he fancies the Princess Jasmine. And then he has one of those dreadful days.... The Chinese police want to lop
off his head for winking at the princess on a national holiday. His
mother Gladys the Merry Widow Twankey is in such a lather at the laundry she's
managed to get half the knickers in Peking in a knot. His daft brother
Wishee Washee is a few revs short of a spin cycle and his long-lost Uncle
Abanazar turns out to be a wicked sorcerer intent on destroying the whole wide
world. Even with the help of an old
lamp, a Genie with a twinkle in his eye and an enormous dollop of pantomime
magic, Aladdin has got his work cut out. After all, he has to defeat
Abanazar, save the Princess AND make it home in time to help his mother iron
the Emperor's underwear! Don't forget to check out our special Family Ticket Prices and book early to avoid disappointment!
