Brassed Off

by Paul Allen (adapted from the screenplay by Mark Herman)

This stage version of the hit film is packed with laughter and tears as it charts a community's fight for survival.  It's 1992 and the future is looking uncertain for the miners of Errington - their pit is under threat and the colliery band is on the verge of breaking up.

When a familiar face returns to town, passion and enthusiasm are re-kindled and we are taken on a journey from Northumberland to London's Albert Hall.

Brassed Off is a comedy-drama of love, hope, tragedy and brass.
