June A new email members newsletter entitled 'Offset Flash!' is started to keep members up to date with the latest urgent events.

Aug - Oct The theatre has a major refurbishment scheme, which includes: new seats, new carpeting, painting and new auditorium toilets funded by a grant from the Northern Rock Foundation. For more information click here.

Nov The season is rearranged to allow the Royal Shakespeare Company to hire the theatre during their annual residency in Newcastle. This is because the Newcastle Playhouse is undergoing major refurbishment. For more information click here.
